ZenoCloud rents the NVIDIA H200 141GB at ₹2,20,000 a card a month before tax, host included, in Mumbai, ready now. NVIDIA publishes no list price; buying is quoted by OEMs. AWS Mumbai sells eight H200s together at $75.955 an hour.
Last verified: 24 October 2026. Figures marked "our maths" are calculated from the sources, not quoted by them. Monthly estimates use 730 hours and ₹94.94 to the dollar (European Central Bank reference rate, 23 October 2026). Throughput figures are labelled measured (conditions published by an independent poster) or vendor-run.
How much does H200 rental cost in India?
ZenoCloud's H200 is ₹2,20,000 a card a month in Mumbai, on one rupee invoice, with a one-month minimum. The card, the NVIDIA driver and a baseline host are in the price; the written quote lists the host's CPU, RAM, storage and network, the card count and the variant. Spread over a full month that is about ₹301 an hour (our maths). There is no hourly plan.
For context, we read the public pricing pages of seven Indian GPU clouds on 24 October 2026 (names withheld; list available on request). Four state an H200 hourly rate we could read cleanly, two of them in dollars. One states a one-month price. All are per GPU, before tax where the page says so.
| What you pay | Market low | Market high | ZenoCloud (Mumbai) |
|---|---|---|---|
| On demand, ₹ per GPU-hour (four of seven) | ₹343 (an NVL card) | ₹502 (quoted as $5.29) | No hourly plan (₹2,20,000 ÷ 730 ≈ ₹301, our maths) |
| On demand for 730 hours, our maths | ₹2,50,600 | ₹3,66,600 | Not applicable |
| One-month plan, ₹ per GPU (one of seven) | ₹2,00,498 (16 vCPU, 128 GB host, NVL, Noida) | ₹2,38,309 (28 vCPU, 282 GB host) | ₹2,20,000 |
What ₹2,20,000 buys is a fixed monthly price, a whole card that is yours for the month, the SXM or NVL variant confirmed in writing and a rupee invoice.
US-dollar sightings from buyers are a second yardstick. They are quoted by users and a vendor, not by sellers' price pages, so treat them as sightings.
| Reported rate | What it was | Date and source | Per month at 730 hours, our maths |
|---|---|---|---|
| $4.40 an hour | median on-demand H200 across 34 providers, as the poster counted | 18 Sep 2026, r/LocalLLaMA (posted by a hardware vendor) | ₹3,04,900 |
| $4.54 an hour | one H200 on a serverless GPU platform | 12 Sep 2026, r/LLMDevs | ₹3,14,700 |
| $9.494 an hour a GPU | AWS p5en.48xlarge, Mumbai, on demand, billed for eight GPUs at once ($75.955) | 23 Oct 2026, AWS pricing | ₹6,58,000 a GPU, ₹52,64,200 for the node |
Prices move. A post on r/StockMarket citing a GPU rental price tracker had H200 rental down 37.7% over the second half of May 2026 (27 May 2026, reported). Check the date on any H200 price you read, including ours.
Is the H200 available in India?
Yes, in three forms with different waits.
- By the month, from ZenoCloud, ready now. The H200 is ₹2,20,000 a card in Mumbai. We confirm the variant, the card count and the interconnect in the quote before setup.
- By the hour, from AWS in Mumbai. AWS lists p5en.48xlarge, eight H200 GPUs on one node, at $75.955 an hour on demand in Asia Pacific (Mumbai). There is no single-GPU H200 size there, so the smallest hourly bill is the whole node, about ₹7,211 an hour (our maths).
- To buy, through NVIDIA's OEM partners. NVIDIA lists HGX H200 systems with 4 or 8 GPUs and MGX systems with up to 8 H200 NVL cards. One Indian workstation retailer builds H200 NVL servers to order: it showed a four-card, 564GB server on video in July 2025 (a retailer's own video, reported; retailers are not linked, list available on request).
What buyers report about waiting. A would-be buyer of a few H200s wrote on 29 June 2026 that most legitimate-looking sellers showed 4 to 6 weeks of backorder (r/LocalLLaMA, reported). One team's four H200 NVL cards arrived in April 2026, and a replacement NVLink bridge arrived in August; in the thread they still could not get the bridge detected (NVIDIA forum, 11 Aug 2026). Ask any seller for the delivery date and the bridge or board in writing.
How much does an H200 cost to buy in India?
NVIDIA publishes no list price for the H200. It is sold through OEMs and distributors, and quotes move with the form factor, the card count and the rupee. We do not print reseller or marketplace prices here: they change weekly, and a listing from last month says little about the quote you will get. What a buyer is quoting for:
- SXM on an HGX board. Four or eight GPUs on one baseboard with NVLink at 900 GB/s, up to 700W a GPU. You buy the whole system. Eight GPUs at 700W is 5.6 kW before CPUs and fans (our maths). A commenter on a 307-upvote thread put an 8-GPU box at about 2 kW idle and 10 kW at peak (r/LocalLLaMA, 25 Sep 2026, reported).
- NVL as PCIe cards. Dual-slot, air-cooled, up to 600W, with an NVLink bridge between two or four cards at 900 GB/s a GPU. One owner ran an H200 NVL in a Threadripper workstation board and described a lot of custom cooling (r/LocalLLaMA, 29 Jun 2026, reported).
- Duty and tax. The tariff entry for HSN 84718000 shows 0% basic customs duty and 18% IGST (Eximpe tariff finder, as at 13 May 2026); whether a whole server lands under that line is for your customs broker to confirm.
SXM or NVL: which H200 do you want?
| H200 141GB | SXM | NVL |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | 141GB HBM3e, 4.8 TB/s | 141GB HBM3e, 4.8 TB/s |
| Form factor | SXM module on an HGX board of 4 or 8 | Dual-slot PCIe, air-cooled |
| Max power | up to 700W, configurable | up to 600W, configurable |
| GPU-to-GPU link | NVLink 900 GB/s | 2- or 4-way NVLink bridge, 900 GB/s per GPU |
| Host link | PCIe Gen5, 128 GB/s | PCIe Gen5, 128 GB/s |
| MIG | up to 7 at 18GB | up to 7 at 16.5GB |
| FP16 Tensor, dense | 989 TFLOPS | 835 TFLOPS |
Source: NVIDIA H200 specifications; dense figures are half of NVIDIA's headline "with sparsity" numbers.
Our recommendation: one or two cards, or an air-cooled host, take NVL. Four to eight GPUs that train or serve one model together take SXM on HGX. Both have the same 141GB and 4.8 TB/s, so the memory-bound jobs that justify the H200 run the same on either. The link between cards, the power and the cooling are what change. Linus Tech Tips reviewed the NVL card in September 2025 and found it has no Vulkan, DirectX or OpenGL support at all (YouTube, 25 Sep 2025): it is a compute card, not a display card. We confirm SXM or NVL, the card count and the interconnect in every quote.
What fits in 141GB?
Weights only (parameters times bytes, plus 20% for the runtime; KV cache for context and users goes on top):
| Model size | FP16 | 8-bit | 4-bit | Fits on one H200 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 13B | 26GB | 13GB | 6.5GB | FP16 |
| 34B | 68GB | 34GB | 17GB | FP16 |
| 70B | 140GB | 70GB | 35GB | 8-bit |
| 405B | 810GB | 405GB | 203GB | 2 cards at 4-bit |
A 70B at FP16 needs 140GB for weights alone, so it does not fit one 141GB card with any headroom. At 8-bit it does, with about 57GB left for KV cache after the 20% runtime headroom. On an 80GB H100 the same model needs 4-bit. That headroom is what you pay ₹40,000 a month for: more users and longer context on the same card.
What testers measured, labelled:
| Result | Conditions | Label | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| H200 delivered 1.8 to 2.1 times the H100's throughput on the models tested | vLLM, 8K in / 8K out, 64 to 256 concurrent, throughput-optimised | vendor-run (a GPU cloud's own benchmark post) | r/LocalLLaMA, 11 Feb 2026 |
| A 31B dense model at Q6: an RTX 5090 generated 57 tokens a second for one user, an H100 42. Replies: the H100's advantage is parallelism and context, not single-stream speed | llama.cpp, rented cloud instances, prompt under 100 tokens | reported | r/LocalLLaMA, 15 Jun 2026 |
| Reasons people give for an H200 over a 96GB or 32GB card: privacy, VRAM headroom for long context, full-precision models, parallel agents | opinions, 44 replies | reported | r/LocalAIServers, 21 Sep 2026 |
The vendor-run benchmark is a rental company's post about its own rig; take the ratio, not the absolute numbers. The H200 does not give more compute than the H100. It is the same Hopper chip with more and faster memory, which is why bandwidth-bound work (long context, large batches, decoding) gains and compute-bound work does not.
H200 vs H100 vs B200: which should you rent?
| GPU | Memory | Bandwidth | Interconnect | ZenoCloud, per GPU a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| H100 80GB | 80GB HBM3 (SXM) | 3.35 TB/s SXM | NVLink 900 GB/s (SXM) | ₹1,80,000, on request |
| H200 141GB | 141GB HBM3e | 4.8 TB/s | NVLink 900 GB/s | from ₹2,20,000, ready now |
| B200 180GB | 180GB HBM3e (software-visible class) | 8 TB/s | NVLink | ₹4,59,000, on request |
The H200 costs ₹40,000 a month more than the H100, 22% more, for 76% more memory and 43% more bandwidth (our maths). That is the whole decision. Rent the H100 when your model and its KV cache fit in 80GB with headroom: it saves ₹40,000 a card and the compute is the same Hopper generation. Rent the H200 when 80GB is the measured limit: a 70B at 8-bit on one card, long contexts, many concurrent users, bigger training state. Rent the B200 only when the workload needs Blackwell features or more than 141GB on a GPU; it costs about twice the H200.
Our H100 price guide and B200 guide cover the neighbours, the RTX PRO 6000 guide covers the 96GB card at half the price with PCIe instead of NVLink, and the A100 decision guide covers the older Ampere card. Measure first on a trial node.
H200 rent or buy
The break-even is arithmetic. Months to break even equal the system quote divided by the monthly rent for the same GPUs, divided again by your utilisation. A September 2026 calculation by a hardware vendor, whose arithmetic we re-checked, came out at 14.4 months at 100% utilisation, 24 months at 60% and 36 months at 40% for a purchase against a $4.40 hourly rental (r/LocalLLaMA, 25 Sep 2026, vendor post, 234 comments). The shape is what matters: break-even stretches by 1.7 times at 60% utilisation and 2.5 times at 40% (our maths). A fixed monthly price does not stretch; you simply use less of what you pay for.
The poster listed what a hardware-only break-even leaves out: power and cooling (a colocation quote came in above budget), depreciation ("halve it", with thin resale for last-generation parts), idle hours and your own time. The top replies added interest on the money for two years, and power: an 8-GPU box at about 2 kW idle and 10 kW at peak, around $32,000 over the 14 months at $0.30 a kWh in one commenter's maths (reported).
One owner has published the full count for GPUs of the generation before. An independent researcher bought six 48GB cards: active 76% of hours over two years, 85% since January 2025 while running experiments around the clock, three outages, about $125 a month in electricity, and about $17,000 saved against on-demand rental by March 2026 (Rosmine ML blog, 13 May 2026, reported; Hacker News, 18 May 2026, 571 points). He compared on-demand rates only, and found reserved plans only a little cheaper than buying.
Buying makes sense when the system will run near full utilisation for two years or more, you have the hall, power and people, and your data cannot leave the building. Otherwise rent, and rent before you buy: a trial node tells you your own tokens a second for ₹2,20,000, not for an OEM quote.
Need an H200 for a few hours? Use AWS in Mumbai
For a benchmark, a weekend run or a demo, rent by the hour. AWS's P5en instances carry the H200, eight GPUs per instance (AWS EC2 P5 instances). We read the Mumbai on-demand prices from AWS's published price list of 23 October 2026.
| AWS instance | GPUs | Host | Mumbai, Linux, $ per hour | ₹ per hour, our maths | 730 hours, our maths |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| p5.48xlarge (H100) | 8 | 192 vCPU, 2,048 GiB | $66.048 ($8.256 a GPU, our maths) | ₹6,271 for the node | ₹45,77,500 |
| p5en.48xlarge (H200) | 8 | 192 vCPU, 2,048 GiB | $75.955 ($9.494 a GPU, our maths) | ₹7,211 for the node | ₹52,64,200 |
Source: AWS EC2 On-Demand price list, Linux, Asia Pacific (Mumbai), published 23 October 2026. Prices are in dollars, before tax.
The crossover, our maths, on compute alone: eight ZenoCloud H200 cards are ₹17,60,000 a month (multi-GPU systems are quoted as systems, so take this as per-GPU arithmetic, not a quote), and ₹17,60,000 buys about 244 hours of the p5en node in a month. Under that, pay AWS by the hour. Over it, the monthly cards cost less: a full 730 hours on p5en is about ₹52,64,200. If you need one H200, AWS's smallest bill is the whole node, so the monthly card wins sooner.
Check the live AWS price before you plan a run. We manage AWS: our Managed AWS desk watches the account 24/7, patches what you approve and explains the bill.
When ZenoCloud is the right choice
ZenoCloud is the right choice when the H200 will run most of the month and 80GB is the limit. You get the card at ₹2,20,000 a month in Mumbai, ready now, on a one-month minimum, with a baseline host. A bigger host, an 8-GPU HGX system or an NVL bridge goes on the quote, in writing, before setup.
We have run servers since 2009, more than 1,000 of them, on a 99.9% uptime SLA, from partner facilities. The quote states the card, the variant, the host, the boot disk, the network and the price before tax, with the NVIDIA driver installed. You run your own software. With GPU Infrastructure Care we also watch the host and runtime 24/7, with P1 response under 15 minutes, from ₹25,000 a node a month (₹50,000 account minimum).
Not a fit: light or bursty use, a few hours or days a month, where AWS by the hour costs less (we manage AWS if you would rather not run the account); a workload that already fits an H100 with headroom, which saves ₹40,000 a card; or a model that needs Blackwell, where the B200 is the next step.
Take a trial node before committing: a short paid trial on the card you plan to use, terms agreed before setup. If you keep it, the trial node becomes your production node. For model sizes and card counts, see our GPU inference hosting page, and for whole servers see dedicated GPU servers.
How to get an H200 quote
Send us five things and we reply within one business day:
- Model, framework and precision (FP16, FP8, 4-bit).
- Training, fine-tuning or inference, and the target: tokens a second, concurrent users or steps a day.
- Card count, and whether you want SXM on HGX with NVLink or NVL cards.
- Storage size, dataset location and network needs.
- Start date and term.
Request an H200 quote. The quote states the card, the variant, the host, the price before tax and how long it holds. The whole range is on the GPU cloud page and pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the NVIDIA H200 cost in India?
ZenoCloud rents an H200 141GB at ₹2,20,000 a card a month before tax, host included, one-month minimum, checked 24 October 2026. NVIDIA publishes no list price, so buying is quoted by OEMs as an HGX system or NVL cards.
What is the H200 rental price per hour in India?
Our H200 is a monthly plan, about ₹301 an hour over 730 hours (our maths). Four of the seven Indian GPU clouds we checked publish an on-demand rate, ₹343 to ₹502 an hour. AWS Mumbai bills eight GPUs together at $75.955 an hour.
Is the H200 available in India?
Yes. ZenoCloud has it ready now in Mumbai at ₹2,20,000 a month, and AWS rents eight-GPU p5en nodes by the hour in Mumbai. One buyer reported 4 to 6 week backorders on purchases in June 2026, so confirm the delivery date in writing.
Can I buy an H200 in India?
Through NVIDIA's OEM channel, on a quote, as a 4- or 8-GPU HGX system or as NVL cards. NVIDIA lists no price. Budget for the whole system, power, cooling, GST and a delivery date in writing. The tariff entry for HSN 84718000 shows 0% duty and 18% IGST.
H200 SXM or NVL: which should I choose?
NVL for one or two cards and air-cooled hosts. SXM on HGX for four to eight GPUs that work as one. Both have 141GB and 4.8 TB/s; SXM draws up to 700W, NVL up to 600W. We confirm the variant in the quote.
H100 vs H200: which should I rent?
Rent the H200 when memory is the limit: it has 141GB at 4.8 TB/s against the H100's 80GB at 3.35 TB/s, for ₹40,000 a month more. Rent the H100 when your model and context already fit with headroom. The compute is the same Hopper generation.
H200 vs B200: is the B200 worth it?
At ₹4,59,000 against ₹2,20,000 a month, only when you need Blackwell features or more than 141GB on a GPU. The H200 is the better buy when 141GB and Hopper meet the need. Test on the H200 first; the B200 is sourced on request.
Is ₹2,20,000 the price of a complete HGX H200 node?
No. It is the monthly price for one H200 card. An HGX H200 node with eight GPUs, NVLink, host CPUs, RAM, storage and network is a separate system quote. See our dedicated GPU servers page for whole machines.
What can I run on one H200?
Models up to 34B at FP16, a 70B at 8-bit with about 57GB left for KV cache, and long-context serving that overflows an 80GB card. A 405B needs two cards at 4-bit. Weights plus 20% headroom, with context and users on top.
Is renting an H200 cheaper than a frontier API?
One poster priced 1,000 documents (30k tokens in, 500 out) at about $97 on a frontier API and about $13 on three hours of rented H200 at $4.54, assuming 3,000 tokens a second. Replies said the models are not comparable. Test output quality first.
Is GST included in ZenoCloud's H200 price?
No. We quote before tax and add GST on the invoice; at 18%, ₹2,20,000 a month bills at ₹2,59,600 (our maths). Whether you can claim it back as input credit depends on your tax status; ask your accountant.
