What managed AWS hosting covers

This is not cloud consulting. We do not hand you a report. We operate your AWS environment — continuously, 24/7, with full engineering accountability for the outcome.

FinOps and cost optimization

Monthly cost reports, EC2 right-sizing, Reserved Instance and Savings Plan strategy, anomaly detection, and budget alerts. Average bill reduction across our client base is around 40%.

Infrastructure setup and IaC

Terraform for reproducible environments, VPC architecture, IAM roles, security groups, and network configuration. Infrastructure defined as code — not click-ops that no one can audit.

Security hardening

IAM least-privilege policies, GuardDuty, Security Hub, encryption at rest and in transit, and WAF configuration. Compliance-ready architecture for SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and DPDP Act.

24/7 monitoring and alerting

CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and Zabbix. Alerts route to our NOC — not your inbox. We investigate and remediate before escalating to you.

Backup and disaster recovery

Automated backup policies, cross-region replication, and documented disaster recovery procedures. RTO and RPO targets defined and tested — not just hoped for.

Incident response

P1 median first-touch under 15 minutes. Triage, remediate, root-cause analysis, and post-incident summary. Our NOC runs 24/7/365 — no after-hours surcharges.

Pricing

Managed AWS hosting pricing

Pricing is anchored to your monthly AWS spend. The higher your spend, the more optimization opportunity we can capture — and the more engineering hours we commit.

Managed AWS hosting vs cloud consulting

Cloud consulting is advisory. Managed AWS hosting is operational. The difference matters when something breaks at 2am.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is managed AWS hosting different from cloud consulting?
Cloud consulting is advisory — we design your architecture, audit your costs, and hand you a plan. Managed AWS hosting is operational — we implement the plan and then run the environment ongoing. We respond to incidents, apply patches, manage your CI/CD, and optimize your bill month after month. Consulting is a project. Managed hosting is an ongoing relationship.
Do you take over our AWS account or work within it?
We work within your account. You grant us an IAM role with the permissions needed to do the work. You retain full admin access and full visibility into everything we do via CloudTrail. We are not a reseller and there is no intermediary layer — your AWS costs go directly to your AWS billing, not through us (unless you specifically request consolidated billing).
What access does ZenoCloud need to manage our AWS environment?
We create a ZenoCloud IAM role with specific permissions: EC2 read/write, RDS read/write, CloudWatch, Cost Explorer read, S3 for Terraform state, and service-specific permissions based on your stack. We document every permission we request and explain why it is needed. You can audit our access in IAM at any time.
How much will you reduce our AWS bill?
Across our client base, average savings are around 40%. The specific number depends on your starting point. Common sources of savings: over-provisioned EC2 instances (the most common), missing Reserved Instances or Savings Plans, unused EBS volumes, misconfigured NAT gateways, high data transfer costs, and idle resources. Our free initial audit shows you the specific opportunities before you commit.
What is the difference between managed AWS hosting and managed hosting services?
Managed hosting services (/managed-hosting-services/) is for workloads running on ZenoCloud's own infrastructure — shared nodes, dedicated VPS, and bare metal servers we own and operate. Managed AWS hosting is for workloads already on AWS — we manage your AWS environment, not our own. If you are on AWS and want to stay there, this is the right page. If you want us to provision and manage the infrastructure ourselves, see /managed-hosting-services/.
How quickly can you onboard us?
Typically 5–10 business days from signed agreement. Week 1: IAM access provisioning, baseline audit, CloudWatch and Zabbix monitoring setup. Week 2: first optimization sprint, Terraform state for your existing resources, Grafana dashboard configuration. You see the first monthly cost report at the end of week 2.
What happens to our infrastructure if we end the engagement?
We remove the ZenoCloud IAM role. You receive all Terraform state files, Grafana dashboard configs, CI/CD pipeline definitions, runbooks, and documentation we created. Everything is in standard formats — not locked to our tooling. Your infrastructure continues to run normally. Nothing we built depends on our continued access.
Do you manage multi-region or multi-account AWS setups?
Yes. Multi-region and AWS Organizations multi-account setups are common at the Professional and Enterprise tiers. We use AWS Control Tower and Organizations for governance, with centralized CloudTrail and centralized billing visibility. Cross-region DR setups are part of the Enterprise tier.
