What managed WooCommerce hosting means
Managed WooCommerce hosting
Managed WooCommerce hosting is a server stack tuned for WooCommerce's checkout and catalog load, LiteSpeed, Redis, and WAF in ZenoCloud's setup, built to stay up during sale-event traffic spikes with PCI-oriented infrastructure and daily backups. ZenoCloud has managed WordPress and WooCommerce sites this way since 2009.
PCI-oriented infrastructure
PCI-oriented infrastructure provides infrastructure-layer controls that support PCI DSS compliance for stores processing card payments — WAF, network segmentation, and logging — while the merchant's own compliance program governs certification. ZenoCloud pairs this with managed plugin updates and free zero-downtime migration.

What managed WooCommerce hosting covers

WooCommerce stores have different demands from blogs — checkout stability, cart persistence, and peak traffic are the hard problems we solve.

LiteSpeed + Redis object cache

Redis object cache prevents WooCommerce from hammering MySQL on every request. Cart sessions persist in Redis. Pages cache at the server level — no plugin bottleneck.

PCI-oriented infrastructure

WAF, malware scanning, vulnerability management, and managed SSL on every plan — a PCI-oriented stack at the infrastructure layer. The application-level compliance layer stays with you.

Peak traffic management

Sale events, product launches, and seasonal spikes don't take down your checkout. We pre-scale resources before events and monitor actively during. No surprise downtime when revenue is highest.

Daily backups + one-click restore

Automated daily backups stored off-site, 14–60 day retention by tier. One-click store restore or granular order/product table recovery. We test restores quarterly.

Managed plugin updates

WooCommerce core and payment plugin updates applied in staging first, tested against your product catalog and checkout flow, then promoted to production. No surprise breakages on payment plugins.

DDoS protection + WAF

Cloudflare DDoS protection and a managed WAF filter malicious traffic before it reaches your store. Imunify360 + Sucuri catch anything that gets through. Automated blocking, no manual intervention needed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is WooCommerce hosting different from regular WordPress hosting?
WooCommerce stores have specific infrastructure needs that generic WordPress hosting doesn't address well: Redis object cache for cart session persistence, proper caching rules that exclude cart and checkout pages, PCI-oriented infrastructure for payment processing, and resources to handle product catalog queries. ZenoCloud's WooCommerce plans are tuned for all of this by default.
Is the infrastructure PCI-compliant?
We run a PCI-oriented stack at the infrastructure layer — WAF, isolation, malware scanning, vulnerability management, and SSL management are all included. You own the application-level compliance layer (payment gateway integration, WooCommerce configuration, data handling). We provide the hosting foundation and evidence documentation for your PCI audit.
How do you handle traffic spikes during sales events?
For Business tier and above, we pre-scale server resources before your planned sale events on request. We also monitor actively during the event window — our NOC watches your traffic and can make real-time adjustments. For Pro and Enterprise, peak traffic capacity planning is included as part of your managed service.
Do managed plugin updates break WooCommerce?
Our update process tests in a staging environment first. We specifically test the cart, checkout, and payment flow before promoting to production. Payment plugin updates (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal) get extra scrutiny. If we find a conflict, we notify you before applying the update.
What payment gateways do you support?
We support all standard WooCommerce payment gateways — Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, CCAvenue, PayU, and others. The hosting environment doesn't restrict gateway choice. We configure the server-level PCI requirements; you configure the payment gateway in WordPress.
How does migration work for a live WooCommerce store?
We clone the store to our infrastructure, import the product catalog and customer data, run a full checkout test in staging, then do a zero-downtime DNS cutover. Existing orders and customer accounts are fully preserved. Typical WooCommerce migration takes 24–48 hours. Orders keep flowing on the old server until DNS propagates.
What is the uptime SLA for WooCommerce hosting?
99.9% uptime SLA across all plans, covering the application layer — not just the network. If we breach the SLA in any calendar month, you receive a pro-rated service credit applied automatically on your next invoice.
Can I run a multi-site WooCommerce network?
Yes. WordPress Multisite with WooCommerce is supported on Business tier and above. Multi-site setups require dedicated VPS resources — the shared Starter environment is not suitable for network installations. Let us know during migration scoping and we'll configure the network correctly from the start.
