Managed backup means a provider sets up, runs and checks your backups for you: copies taken daily, kept off the server and restored on a schedule to prove they work. You get the restore, not just the copy.

Why test restores?
Backups fail quietly: a job that "succeeds" can still miss a database or a folder. A monthly restore to a scratch server is the only proof your data comes back, and how long it takes.
Do backups protect against ransomware?
Only if the attacker cannot reach them. We keep isolated copies off the server, offer immutable storage on request, and pick a clean recovery point before restoring.
Is backup the same as disaster recovery?
No. Backup gets your data back. Disaster recovery gets the whole service running somewhere else, fast. If you cannot wait for a rebuild, see disaster recovery.
Can you back up servers hosted elsewhere?
Yes. With Managed Server we back up any server we manage, wherever it runs. For larger estates we run Veeam or Acronis across your servers.
Where are backups stored?
In India, away from the server they protect. Retention is 14 daily and 4 weekly points by default, and we can keep more.
